I stopped taking prescription sleeping pills a long time ago because I found that I could not sleep without them.

I'm very restless unless I go to bed very, very late. I'm an extreme night person and may possibly have delayed sleep phase syndrome. I now rely on Benadryl on nights before I have to work.

I find if I try to do a crossword puzzle and force my brain to be active, it gets the message that it really is time to shut down...

I answered for the worst cases of "sleeplessness" that I have experienced. I am sure that anyone actually diagnosed with insomnia would be jealous of my ability to sleep in most cases. :-/
