So, I haven't exactly achieved my original goal of being the world's first platinum-selling recording artist/author/cartoonist/screenwriter/ac
My mother recommended Job Corps to me, but there are aspects of that that frighten me. I haven't found much objective information on Google (most of what I've found is written in chatspeak and very vague), and the peppy-happy tone of the Job Corps website isn't exactly objective and, frankly, scares me.
Have you (or someone you know well, not "my brother's friend's cousin's orthodontist's niece") ever been in Job Corps?
If you answered yes, did you (or the person you know) enjoy it/did you feel it was worthwhile?
Is it very strict?
Did you receive useful training in a field that interests you?
On the whole, would you recommend it? (If it wasn't you, would the person you know recommend it?)
Since I'd lose my mind without internet and my iPod, are things like TVs, radios and computers (or mp3 players!) allowed in the dorms?
