I have a deeply ingrained dislike of pre-1980 movies, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory aside, and the older and/or more popular they are, the less I like them. (which is odd, because I love the culture of past decades...) EXCEPTION: animated Disney movies, the oldest of which are among the best. Non-animated animal movies may also be an exception; the few I've seen are timeless.

I agree, the only movies I really like that were made before I was born were Disney movies or other children's movies. I totally forgot to put Bedknobs and Broomsticks for the last question D: I loved that when I was a kid and have been meaning to watch it again for ages.

I finally watched Breakfast at Tiffany's last year and was so disappointed in Audrey Hepburn's character. She was such an idiotic, helpless woman. I guess I had been expecting someone more poised and elegant. The ending and some of the racist bits pissed me off too. Gives "old-fashioned" a whole new meaning to me.
