All other things being equal, would you rather work 8-4:30 or 10-6:30?

8 AM - 4:30 PM
10 AM - 6:30 PM

How do you abbreviate those two letters, by the way?

I use a 24-hour clock

24 hour clocks rule! <3

...except when my friends abroad and i are trying to coordinate anything. Then we use UTC.

I work 9-6 half my week and have one early day from 7:30-4:30. Apart from having to wake up early, I sooooo prefer the early shift. I can actually get stuff done like going to the bank, and the commute is a lot quicker because traffic's not so heavy. I guess the 6 PM commute is better than the 4:30 one though, but I'm not in as much of a hurry then!

I work 7am-3pm; sometimes getting up early can blow (I'm not a morning bird BTW), but driving to and from work well before any traffic rush is SOOOOOOOO nice.

I'm an extreme night owl. No way would I get up at 7 for work or school or anything unless it was a life/death situation. XD

I'd much rather get up later and work later. Right now I have to get up at 7 pm to get to school by 8 pm. I'm not a fan of it, I should actually be in bed right now (at almost 2 am) instead of posting here, but oh well.

I prefer starting at 10 so i don#t have to get p too early.
also I use a 24 h clock :D (while we may say "vier Uhr(4 oclock) to 16h as well we never use pm or am. If it was needed to clarify we say 16 (uhr)h or 4(uhr) h or would add in the afternoon-in the morning.

12 midnight by the way is either 'midnight' (24 h if it is on spot)or 0 h instead of 12. This is something which always confuses me in pm/am mode that you start with 12 .
(so a bus leaves for example at 00.30 or tv programme starts at 00.25h

even if i hate getting up in the morning, working later than everyone else sucks too. you'd have to be late to dinners, etc. i love those rare days i actually get to work early and can leave early.

i like typing it out 10:20a, 4:15p, etc. it's fastest. :)

In the DC area, the rush hours are 7:00-10:00 and 3:00-7:30. But it's sooo much better to take the early part of the rush hour, because the worst is 8:00-9:30 and 5:00-6:30. Leaving at 6:30 would mean leaving at the worst part of rush hour and still having to get up early in the morning.
