Depends on how clean my hands are. When they're washed I break of pieces with my fingers. Otherwise I take bites. I prefer eating with my fingers, but I love that muffins give me the option of eating clean food at festivals.

Exactly this. If I'm on my lunchbreak at work and I haven't washed my hands, there's no way I'm touching anything destined for my mouth. But at home I don't have to worry about dirty hands or getting sticky fingers, so I'll happily break bits off.

If the top is crispy around the outside, I break that edge off in chunks and eat them first. Then I pull off the muffin top and set it aside. Eat the bottom of the muffin first, by breaking pieces off with my fingers. Then I eat the top half but I eat it by biting from the edge and working my way across it.

This muffin eating, it's very technical.

It really IS technical! I am impressed!

I absoluty hate it when people break off pieces of food and eat them. I don't know why, but I really can't stand it.

As for my favourite kind of muffin, it's muffins with coffee and pieces of chocolate.

Blueberry! Blueberrrrry. Or cinnamon, no raisins or apples, just cinnamon.</p>

I eat muffins as kind of a swirl, ewting around the edges until it's a cylinder, then eating bottom to top in a circle, because the top is the best part.

I think I met you through a muffin poll right here on this community. The guy who brought you the pumpkin muffin? Maybe?

My least favorite kind of muffin is chocolate, or chocolate chip. Because that crosses the line from muffin to cupcake. I love chocolate, but have an aversion to chocolate in my breakfast food. Same goes for chocolate chip pancakes. Second least favorite would be anything with raisins in it.

My favorite kind is probably lemon poppyseed, but I love most muffins and often have a hard time choosing.

Our local stores still have the gingerbread ones out. Love those. And soon they will have the green pistachio ones out. Yummy.

I like chocolate for breakfast BIG-TIME, but am NOT a fan of raisins.

I like raisins on their own just fine, but in baked goods??? Evil. Going along, eating a perfectly good cookie, then squish. Blech. Even worse is when you think it's going to be chocolate chips, but someone decided to be healthy instead. *shudder*

I agree!

The muffin must not be overcooked; it should be more cakey than crisp.

Off comes the wrapper, put it in a bowl, break it up with a fork, lay a bit of butter on top, microwave for about 30 seconds, stir, enjoy with aforementioned fork.

Also the "stumps" are better than the tops. Fight me.

Muffin top. Stumps are not edible.

My favourite muffin is a McDonald's Fruit and Fiber muffin. SO GOOD!

When I worked at McDonald's when I was 19 on the midnights shift, my coworker who baked the fresh muffins every morning at 5am would "accidentally" break a muffin top off of a fruit and fiber muffin when she was taking them out of the tin just so I could eat it.

I have one for breakfast every day. SO GOOD!

I also enjoy carrot muffins, corn muffins and pumpkin muffins.

Place muffin upside down on a plate so the really good top is left for last. Peal off the muffin wrapper. Pick pieces from the bottom off with fingers until basically only the muffin top is left. Pick up whole muffin top and take bites.

It has everything to do with the size of the muffin and the kind of muffin.

If I have a big chocolate muffin then I will heat, quarter and butter it. Eating with either a fork or my fingers.

Otherwise, I'll just take bites.

i break off the top, eat the stump first (with my fingers), since everyone knows the stump is inferior, and then eat top (also with my fingers).
