I've had a number of different reasons over the years but at the core I'd rather have them through death than not. I can't really explain it more than that; I'm almost as uncertain about it as an agnostic is about God.

I've been very uncertain about it as well. All these thoughts go through my head like what if they don't try as hard to save me cause they want my organs or what if taking my organs somehow robs me of something I need to exist in an afterlife ... But I registered a month ago when I had my license renewed because it seemed like the right thing to do. It's a completely selfless act especially since I am scared about it. I try to live my life as selflessly as I can and helping as many as I can so I don't think my death should be any different.

You don#t even need to register here , you just need to have a slip with you that says that youre happy to donate your organs :)

I keep meaning to do it, but then I keep forgetting to get around to it, like everything else. =/ I think that all I have to do is let the DMV know when I go to get my state ID card replaced, but I keep forgetting about that detail everytime I do so, and by the time I remember, it's already too late because they've taken the photo, etc.

If it counts for anything, I am a registered bone marrow donor. This was thanks to a friend who asked everyone on her Friends list to sign up, especially since it was during a period of time when Be the Match was offering free registrations.

I put yes because in the US I am (as reflected on my state id). However, I have lived in Costa Rica for the past several years (Peace Corps), and I have no idea what would happen to my organs if I were to die...

I am registered and I made sure my family knows it. For one thing, I hate to throw anything away. For another, I'm not going a minute before I have to, even if I have to hang around in pieces.

Here in Norway you can't register, it's your closest who decides if you die and it becomes a question. You can fill out a donorcard, but this is only something to show your opinion, your relatives can always override it. I've told my cloest that I want my organs to be used, if possible, and I believe they will respect that.
