Some weeks I might read for 15 hours, but I think in general, I am too busy to sit down with a book for more than half an hour a day.

I love you so much for putting an "Other" option under gender affiliation.

I second this. Kudos for thinking outside of gender binary!

Ugh, I'm lumped in with the teenagers. :)

I usually only read during down times at work and before bed when the Boy is in the shower, so I rarely make it past one hour per week.

Oh, someone likes Anne Perry. I can't think of her without wanting to watch Heavenly Creatures. Is that wrong? :P

During school terms this year, I've found it's nearly impossible to read if it's not for a class. I'm simply too swamped with schoolwork. This disgruntles me greatly, although it makes summer all the sweeter.

I don't read as much as I used to but if I finish a book quickly because I am a fast reader.

My preferred reading habitat is either on a swing or in the bath. In my current place, I have neither! I don't even have a couch to lay on! I haven't read in MONTHS, and all these wonderful books are laying within easy reach of me, and I don't read them because I don't have a comfortable spot to read! I have GOT to find a new place to live...

I chose "5 or less" because my guess would be that I'd normally average just over half an hour a night. Just recently, however, my reading habits have hit a huge spike. It's all thanks to discovering the joys of Rex Stout's Nero Wolfe mysteries. For the last few years I've been pretty half-hearted about reading novels, but not any more. At the moment I'm hopelessly addicted, at least as far as Nero Wolfe's concerned. The mysteries are fine, but the time period and especially the characters are the real draw. Best of all, they make me laugh.
