I picked 'No' for the last one coz while there are a few people who have my middle name as a first name, I don't know anyone personally who has it as a middle name.

The middle names of my two best friends from middle school were Rose and Marie.

My middle name is Hope. It's a family name that I share with my mother, aunt, and cousin.

Neat - I love name traditions, and that one's quite pretty.

My birth middle name was Leslie, a name and spelling that works for either sex. My middle name since '04 is Emma, which is generally only used for my sex.

second question: probably, but I'm not in the habit of asking for middle names.
fourth question: I share my mother's middle name...for obvious non-coincidental reasons. However, it's rather old fashioned and I haven't met anyone else with the name in awhile.

Funnily one of my favorite fictional characters is Rosemarie, but that's neither here nor there.

When I get angry, and I don't know someone's middle name, it always becomes Marie. Even if you're male. Especially if you're male.

Hah! Best comment I've seen yet.

I share my middle name with Homer Simpson, though mine is spelled differently. Coincidently, my first name is the same as my great-uncle Homer's middle name. All of my great-uncles on my mom's side were given feminine unisex middle names.

About half of my friends in junior high/high school had my middle name - Lynn (some were Lynne).

Not unless an anime character's first name counts. Which I would hope doesn't ;)

Two of my best friends' middle names are Rose and Marie, and my third best friend has the same middle name as I do, which is shared by no less than four of my coworkers - Elizabeth.

Love all the coincidences!

My theatre teacher would always call us, if she wanted something, by our first name then Elizabeth no matter what their sex and our last name.
My middle name is Christine. I know a bunch of people with that middle name.

Yep, my middle name is Marie. I share it with all the first born girls of 'my generation' in my family (mother's side). I don't know anyone out of the family with it, though.

It is close: my middle name is 'Maria' and I think it is more common.

and random fact. When my frand ma got her first daughter, she first wanted to call her Marie , but the midwife , advised her not to do so because she said that only maids are called marie , thats why she is called Maria. xD

typo . dar- my Grand ma.

anyway since I am posting again although it is unrelated to the name above, when my grand ma was born her name was supposed to be 'doris' but the doctors wrote it down as 'dorit' so she had been registered as that (and is called that obviously now)

I'm surprised that no one has said their middle name is Ann/e. Mine's Ann and a weird and crazy coincidence is that my long-time-boyfriend's sister's first name is the same as mine and for middle names I'm Ann and she's Anne. So crazy.
5th-Mar-2010 12:52 pm (UTC)
Mine is Anna, which is a name that I love, but I hate it in combo with my first name. It just doesn't.... flow...

My first girlfriend's first name was Rosemarie.

My middle name is Marie, and i share that with like three of my co-workers. Marie has to be the most common female middle name ever. Seriously.

Yep, that's the debate we're trying to settle. I think a lot of people pick Marie because it's like the type O of names; it sounds good with everything. But I like that the comments are offering some other common suggestions I wouldn't have thought of.
