Poll #1508131 Melodrama!

How often would you say that you are melodramatic?

Somewhat Often

* Scientific Hypothesis for Posting Poll: I am curious if other people ever consider themselves melodramatic. Sometimes something quite sweeps over me, and after I'm done throwing the plastic tiger across the room, hearing the satisfying THUD as it hits the wall, followed by the BAM as it lands on the floor, I feel all better. At which point I wonder: What was that? Did I do that? Was that me? How...dramatic.

Most of the time that I am being melodramatic, I am doing it in jest.

So you know it is melodramatic BEFORE you do it? You don't look back at situations in hindsight and think that you should be on a made-for-TV movie?

If something's worth doing, it's worth doing dramatically. If something's not worth doing, it'll be more interesting if you do it dramatically.

Mind you, there's a difference between melodrama and drama. And, honestly, there's a difference between both and what you describe, which seems more like a satisfying rage.

Hahaha, that is a good explanation. It *was* a satisfying rage. But trust me, I did so in a spectacularly melodramatic fashion.

You've also made me realize that I am not sure what the difference between drama and melodrama is. But I will fix that now. :)

I said 'infrequently' which is a great improvement on how often I used to be!

No tigers were harmed in the making of this melodrama.

Also, once, about seven years ago, I kicked a plastic bag. I WAS ANGRY. True story.
