My current employer used to get each employee a sweatshirt and t-shirt with the company logo on it in whatever color s/he wanted, (not as lame as it sounds since it's a small business with >20 employees,) but I already knew we weren't getting any this year to save money.

I'm one of four paid kennel techs at an animal rescue so it's not really work you get monetary bonuses for:) I do, however, work Xmas day and get paid time and a half.

One company I worked at always gave cash bonuses at Christmas. Another one gave cool Christmas presents, but not cash. Like, they gave everyone digital cameras one year (back in 2000, when they were clunky as hell, but a new enough thing that not everyone had them yet). Another year they gave everyone a pair of red Converse.

Currently, I'm self-employed, so no bonus for me.

I'm not employed right now, but I've never gotten a Christmas bonus.

I got an amazing bonus from my employer (It's the same every year for every employee), plus my husband and I were each given a gift card at the company Christmas party.

At most of the jobs I've had in the past, I got maybe a $20 bonus for Christmas and sometimes one for Easter, too, at a couple of the jobs.

Am not currently working due to visa issues. When I did work (not in the USA) places would occasionally give us a trinket, but never anything of actual monetary value. Or money.

I thought Christmas bonuses were a myth. We'll be lucky if there's a bowl of M&M's in the break room on Christmas Eve.

I'm permanently disabled, so I didn't know whether to pick I don't have an employer at the moment so I won't get one this year but have gotten one in the past or Something else (what?)

I chose Something else (what?) since the other one suggests that I might have an employer in the future, and I won't.

I work three jobs and only one of them gives a bonus. Last year, the first year I actually worked at the time I would've gotten a Christmas bonus, the boss didn't give 'em out; this year he did.

Last job I got like a $10 gift card to their little gift shop @_@ so I wouldnt exactly call it a bonus....

This is a new job I am in now. I am hoping for a bonus on my paycheck this time because god knows I need something to help me pay the bills! But I'm not expecting one.

My boss usually gives me a gift card. My subboss also gave me a gift card. I never expect it, but it sure is nice. :)

My current employer doesn't do Christmas bonuses, but we always get a bottle of champagne at Christmas.

We don't get actual bonuses, we just get whatever extra pay we're entitled to anyway – e.g., public holiday rates. The company also paid for a Christmas party. Oh, and we had a staff Christmas sale where our usual discount was increased for one day and there were special deals on some products. So I guess that counts as "something else". Not bad, now that I think about it.
