The apartment I'm living in doesn't have a door that faces the street directly, so I don't expect anyone to knock on it.

I'm going to a midnight screening of the Rocky Horror Picture show.

Mine does face the street, but in the ten or so years I've lived in this complex, only one trick-or-treater ever knocked on my door. =X I used to love giving candy out to kids, too... but then again, I probably look too much like a creeper as it is. XD

Oooooh, sounds like fun! :D I've only seen it on VHS (they have midnight screenings of RHPS here in town, but I would have no way to get there or to get home afterwards).

As to what I'm going to be doing... most likely, scrambling to get a fic done for an Oktoberfest event that ends on Saturday night... and I haven't even started it yet, as I type. D:

I believe your userpic has just inspired me to carve my pumpkin. Halloween isn't awesome until the neighbors complain

I'm in Australia where Halloween isn't that big.
If a friend had a Halloween party, I'd probably go.

Now that I've started getting Halloween advertisements starting in August, I think that Scroogedom is wholly justified. It's gotten way out of hand, going from effectively uncelebrated to scores of people's favorite holiday.

I generally give out little chocolate bars but in case I run out, I've got bags of tiny toys, finger puppets and the like. People come to my neighborhood from miles around. They come in vans. They start at 2 in the afternoon and show up at 10 at night. Little kids come with their parents who also expect to get candy. Big kids come with neither costume nor bag and except to get stuff handed to them. Some come twice. One year, somebody left a whip on the front porch. Good thing I like Halloween.

Im indifferent towards halloween, I will give out candy, but I wont go out of my way to make halloween plans, if something comes up I will go to it, but if not, thats okay too.

Other for the first one - I'm dressing up for my band's Halloween parade on Tuesday, but likely not dressing up at all on the 31st.

I'm a Halloween scrooge, I guess. I haven't dressed up since I was a kid. When my own kids were little, I made/sewed costumes for them. I took them trick or treating while my husband handed out candy at home. One year when he had to work, I just left the candy in a big bowl on the front steps with a note for people to help themselves, so I could take my kids trick or treating, and I don't think anyone did.

We always handed out candy until the last few years. When my kids got old enough that they didn't go trick or treating anymore, they would still get dressed up and hand out candy. Then they both went away to college and/or didn't want to hand out candy when they were home, and I just find it annoying to have the doorbell ring every 5 - 10 minutes when I'm trying to eat dinner, so we just shut off the lights and pretend we're not home nowadays.

I will be attending Hallowmas!

We live in the country, so we never get trick-or-treaters. When I was a city girl, I used to like to dress up to pass out the candy. This year, I'm planning on taking my daughter to town to go trick-or-treating at the children's museum, as long as she doesn't get the swine flu. *knock wood*

I'm in college now, and the last year I went trick-or-treating was four years ago. I went to my homecoming last year, and this year I'll be going to a party. :D Though my roommate and I do have candy since my mom sent down a huge box full of goodies. LIKE A SLINKY!
