I will probably call my Mom at Mother's Day, but not today.
I live in Sweden and we celebrate Mother's Day at the last Sunday in May, I usually call her and my siblings and those we share our live with usually buys her something like some nice potted plants.

My mother isn't living, and her 'final resting place' will be the family plot in Texas, alongside her parents, a brother and two sisters. She was cremated, and her ashes are curently residing in a closet in my house. My sisters and I (who live in the Pacific NW) are planning a road trip next spring to take her cremains back to the family plot and bury them there.

I miss her.

My condolences to you, as well.

My mother had always made it clear that she wanted to be buried in the family plot, and I am happy to honor that wish for her, but to my surprise I found myself the other day wishing that her ashes could be buried here in OR (where she lived for many years), just so that I could visit her grave site. And yet, knowing my Mom, I'm pretty certain she'd just roll her eyes and think I was nuts.

Mother's Day had yet to make an influx in my country when my mother was still alive, so it's not really something I connect with her.

There's a birth mothers' day. It's the day before mothers' day. Just FYI.

My moms live four hours away so I had to settle for a phone call today and I sent them a card.

This day has a huge amount of significance to me because I am a Mother. I got the spend all day with my daughter and it was awesome. =D

I called my mother and talked to her for a while. We don't live near each other.

I'm a mother myself, so I guess the day has significance to me.

Won't see her today as today isn't mother's day here in the UK. But when it was, I did.
