A note: this survey is directed towards citizens of a particular US state. Feel free to ask questions if some of the legal stuff is unclear to you (if you are someone who doesn't live in the US). :)
"Should state government continue the practice of reimbursing localities for local government-initiated pay raises to teachers and support staff above the level approved by the Governor and General Assembly?"
"Do you support awarding [this state]'s many good teachers with "merit" or "bonus" pay when the students they teach consistently score above the state average on standardized tests rather than on just how long they have taught?"
A proposal has been made to increase the tax on cigarettes from 50 cents to 75 cents. "This could bring [our state] more revenue, but could also mean the loss of many tobacco jobs in [our state]." Do you support this tax increase?
"Do you support extending the death penalty to accessories of captial murder (i.e. eliminating the so-called "triggerman only rule" which currenty provides that only the actual perperator of a capital murder is eligible for the death penalty)?
What do you believe are the top three priorities for the government to address in this coming legislative year?
