Foobamania!

I know this is old news, but I thought I'd get some opinions on it.

Word on the internet is no one is happy with the way For Better or For Worse turned out! In case you haven't heard of/read FBoFW, it's a newspaper comic by Lynn Johnson. It takes place in a suburb of Montreal, and follows the lives of the Pattersons, Elly (author avatar), her husband John (retired dentist), her children, Michael (a married writer), Elizabeth (newlywed teacher), and April (teenager extraordinaire). It started out with Elly and John as a young couple with a preschool Michael and a toddler Elizabeth, and has allowed them to age throughout the years, developing friends and relationships and enduring life's pratfalls.

The strip has gone into some kind of retirement purgatory. Lynn Johnson announced she was ending the strip after 28 years, but has since changed her mind. She ended all the current storylines, culminating in a polarizing marriage between Elizabeth and her high school sweetheart, Anthony. Internet backlash was fierce. No one likes Anthony except Lynn and some of her older readers, apparently.
