The door is ajar...

Hiho,

I have no idea why I'm wondering about this... Just came to mind while I was in the bathroom this morning... :)

Poll #1123005 Locked up tight, or "look at meeeee!" :)

Let's say you live alone, and you have no visitors in your apartment/house/whatever. Which of the following would be most in character for you:

Even though I am alone, I would close and lock the bathroom door
21(12.1%)
I would close the door, but not lock it
35(20.1%)
I would push the door in, but maybe not close or lock
36(20.7%)
I wouldn't even bother closing it in. Wide open would be a-ok.
80(46.0%)
Other
2(1.1%)

Now, let's say you lived with just your spouse or significant other, but you are currently alone. Which of the following would be most in character for you:

Door closed and locked regardless.
25(14.4%)
Door closed, maybe not locked
39(22.4%)
Door pushed in, but maybe not closed or locked
43(24.7%)
Door wide open would be fine.
66(37.9%)
Other
1(0.6%)

Ok, so let's say this time that you lived with just your spouse or significant other, and they ARE home. Which of the following would be most in character for you:

Door closed and locked.
41(23.6%)
Door closed, maybe not locked
57(32.8%)
Door pushed in, maybe not closed or locked
39(22.4%)
Door wide open would be fine.
18(10.3%)
Depends on the relationship. With some I might be more private, with others less so.
17(9.8%)
Other
2(1.1%)

You didn't lockl. Your SO walks in on you while you're on the toilet. Your most likely reaction would be:

"I am so embarassed"
9(5.2%)
"HEY! GET OUT!"
43(24.9%)
"Meh. Whatever."
38(22.0%)
"Wanna hop in the shower with me when I'm done?"
18(10.4%)
Depends on what I was doing...
38(22.0%)
Depends on the relationship.
23(13.3%)
Other
4(2.3%)

ETA: Well, damn. Some how the words "You need to use the toilet" got dropped from the question. To be clear, I'm referring to the bathroom door while you're using it in all cases here.

Cu,
Andrew
