Concentrating/working when listening to music

I make no secret of the fact that unlike many folks, I just cannot concentrate when any kind of music is playing. If it's something I like, I want to pay attention to it. And if it's something I hate, it grates on my mind to the point where I feel like fleeing the room where it's playing. XD Regardless, I just can't focus on what it is I'm supposed to be doing when there is any kind of music playing in the background.

On the other hand, I know that quite a few people are not not only able to work well when listening to music, but they are more productive, efficient, and creative. So I think I'm in the minority, but am wondering just how much. Hence this poll. ;)
