The Michael Moore film "Sicko" has brought the question of problems with the medical system to the forefront. Michael Moore has been known to exaggerate (e.g. when he said in Bowling for Columbine that Canadians don't lock their doors--total bullshit), but he can also identify real problems. How does your personal experience compare with the picture that Moore paints?
Have you stayed in hospital (i.e. at least one over night) in the past ten years?
If so, how was the experience for you, as regards the way you were treated by the hospital staff and the system?
Have you had to go to a hospital emergency ward for yourself or with someone else in the past 10 years and if so, how was the experience as regards the hospital?
Have you (or has someone close to you) ever been on a waiting list to have surgery and if so, how was the waiting list?
What is your personal situation with regard to medical coverage?
The United States will never get universal medical coverage as long as medical insurance companies contribute large sums to political campaigns.
