It is a difficult transition getting used to it.

I have always thought daylight savings time was silly and likely to cause more problems than it gives benefit. I felt that the people or businesses who needed the "extra hour" in the mornings could manage to set their own alarms an hour earlier instead of making a law for everyone. I also think the time zones are foolish, since the concept of time is a manmade construct anyway. If the world were on the same time, it would eliminate synchronization confusions. I'm pretty sure people could figure out by the lack of light what hours are "night-time" in their part of the world.

We did have daylight saving for a couple of years as a 'test drive', this was followed by a referendum where the public voted against it.

Daylight saving here in Perth where in the summer it's as hot as all shit, and we need more daylight like we need a bullet between the eyes, is hell.

I could understand it and even maybe support it if it was held during the winter months. Maybe in the coolness of the winter a bit more daylight might be nice.

Daylight savings is observed in Melbourne Australia and I love it!

I hate having to go to work in the dark and come home in the dark. I love that I can still get things done in the daylight hours after work, instead of having to wait until the weekend before doing things outside.
