I've got a 50%-off-one-item coupon to use at Half Price Books tomorrow. I'm debating between these two things:

What's more appealing here? (prices noted are after coupon)

A season of Scrubs on DVD for $6 (they have pretty much all of them)
16(66.7%)
Wicked: The Grimmerie (oversized hardcover book, color photos), $7.50
8(33.3%)

I've been wanting to get the TV show for a while since it's one of my all time favorites, and that's a great price, but they always seem to have the show in stock and you run the risk of scratches on secondhand DVDs. Meanwhile, I like the idea of Wicked based on its original lead actresses and I like the soundtrack (also the book is gorgeous), but I've never seen the play so I'm not totally sure if I'm a fan or a wannabe-fan, and fear buyer's remorse.

Feel free to describe your rationale, since I have declined to provide a "I don't know what these are" option.

If the book's gorgeous, get it! They have Scrubs on Hulu and/or Netflix at the very least don't they? Plus maybe it'll be incentive to see the show at your next opportunity :) Also it will at the very least make a nice coffee table book, haha.

I've seen the play and it's fantastic. I would definitely buy the book.

I've never seen Scrubs, so I wouldn't buy that because I'd be afraid I wouldn't like it.
