As much as I loved Toy Story 3, I think How To Train You Dragon was the superior movie.
28th-Dec-2010 05:53 am (UTC)
I'd go along with that assessment.
28th-Dec-2010 05:59 am (UTC) - biased opinion is hella biased

BEST.

Tron was awesome. I saw it on Christmas day. :D

Wow, it just occurred to me I only saw one movie that came out this year. (Alice in Wonderland.) I wanted to see a few others, but never got around to any of them.
28th-Dec-2010 07:25 am (UTC)
Hey, you've got me beat on that. XD I only saw two movies this year: Harry Potter and Scott Pilgrim. I thought for sure I was the one who'd seen the least number of new movies this year.
28th-Dec-2010 08:25 am (UTC)
Me too, except it was Toy Story 3.
28th-Dec-2010 08:22 am (UTC)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 is so fantastic. :D I plan on seeing it at least one more time before it leaves theatres.

I feel dodgy about calling Shrek Forever After my favourite, because it's not like I thought it was awesome, but so far I've only seen two of those movies, so...

I have seen other films... and also documentaries but they werent in the cinema. wait didnt avatar came out this year? at least I watched it in january...
28th-Dec-2010 04:57 pm (UTC)
I was wondering about that myself, Avatar came out in Dec 09.
28th-Dec-2010 04:50 pm (UTC)
I want to see Trooooooooon.

Actually there are several on that list I want to see, but I don't want to spend $15 a ticket each time I go to the movies. :(

Other movies that came out this past year that I have seen that are not on the list:

Red
The Expendables

Both are good enough to watch at least once. The past few years, it seems I am having a hard time finding movies that really impress me. I don't know if it is because I am getting older or because Hollywood is running out of ideas or combination of both. I am finding myself going to the movies less and less as compared to when I was a teen. Only went to the theater for two movies this past year, Red and Harry Potter.

Movies that came out this past year that I want to see:

Kick Ass
Resident Evil Afterlife

Toy Story 3 & Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows were the only two I managed to see in theaters this year (though both were excellent). REALLY wanted to see Alice on the big screen, but could not manage to carve out time in the schedule when tickets were reasonably priced.

I went to see The King's Speech on Christmas day and it was just so well done and enjoyable, I can't imagine picking another as my vote for best film.
28th-Dec-2010 09:54 pm (UTC)
Much agreed. I saw it the day after Christmas; it was such an excellent, lovely film.

To my surprise, nobody seems to have mentioned Black Swan yet. I personally thought it was brilliant.

The Fighter was by far the best movie of '10.
