VCR kill #8
Oh mighty polling contingency?  There are several movies based on novels I'd like to see, but I also haven't been reading much lately, and while I'm not a great fan of modern fiction [and yes, I realize VF is a classic], I've found that books which have been turned into movies are often more appealing to me.  Odds are I won't love anything enough to do both (although I might, it depends), so which way should I go?  Feel free to vote with your gut even if you haven't seen/read the stories in question.

I've heard the My Sister's Keeper book was infinitely superior to the movie. I mean, they rewrote the whole ending and all, apparently.

Yep. The book is def amazing. And I'm still not sure what the purpose of changing the ending, so drastically, was.

Okay I'll be honest, for most (all?) of these I haven't read the book or seen the movie, so I just went with my instinct about which I'd choose if was inclined to see the movie or read the book based on my limited knowledge. I doubt anyone is in a position to answer authoratatively, certainly I can't, but if there's a poll, I wanna play too.

I liked My Sister's Keeper, but after hearing the ending of the book I can understand why so many people were upset. It totally changes the story. I'd suggest both!

The only one I've seen and watched is My Sister's Keeper. I saw the movie first, and thought it was a very good movie, but after reading the book? Wow, the book is a million times better!
