In this poll, I was just curious if I eat meat more or less often than most other folk.

I don't know why, but it occurred to me today that while I was growing up we at least had some type of meat for dinner and usually something for lunch, too (not always, but a lot -- deli meat in a sandwich, whatever), but now that I'm an adult, I either eat meat at dinnertime or not at all. And often not at all.

I've been a vegetarian for four years now.

I was raised a vegetarian and aside from when there are no other appealing options, or individual dishes that I enjoy (bacon, some kind of shrimp) I never eat meat.

And just for the record, I hate salad. xD

I said 'several times a month,' but it's more like once a week. At home, I eat meat once a day, but at school I only have meat once a week, twice if things are really crazy.

The last time I knowingly and willingly ate meat was at least twenty years ago.

I don't eat meat that often anymore. I've been wanting to switch to a basically vegetarian diet.

Some relatives of mine have switched to a vegetarian (vegan?) lifestyle and they really swear by it and claim that they feel so much better since making the change. From listening to them, it's very tempting, but I can't imagine life without steaks, grilled chicken, bacon, Wendy's hamburgers, well you get the idea.

Once a day, but only if there's dinner.
(Twice if I'm at work, because of the lunch.)

That said, I do want to become at least vegetarian someday. :)

I'm a student, so I can't afford buying meat very often, despite loving it - I try to eat fish once every week and some other meat one or two times every month, plus I usually get meet when visiting my parents.

Growing up, my mother cooked a meal with meat or fish or fowl every day, and I got thoroughly sick of it. I like chicken, can eat some fish but am really not very keen on eating much meat anymore. I had a year as a vegetarian and was enticed back to meat-eating by the smell from a local cafe of a 'full English Breakfast' (thankfully without the black pudding, yechh! And the breakfast I had looked a lot yummier than in this pic) which I had to go and eat... but when we moved to Wales, and I saw all the little lambs, it lost me my appetite for a lot of meat again. These days I eat chicken or fish once in a while, but certainly not every day or every week. Meat as such, I eat... oh maybe once a year if that.

The pudding does not sound so appealing to me. I always learn something from you. Full English Breakfast. Very interesting.

:)
I don't know why it's called a 'pudding' as it's really a type of sausage that is cut up into slices and fried. Maybe that's what sausages were called wherever it originated. No, black pudding is NOT appealing - it's made from pigs blood. Bleccchhh!

I eat meat twice a day. A meal is not complete without meat! (unless it's breakfast, which is just a muffin)

Hahahaha, I didn't know you liked muffins THAT much. No wonder random men are bringing you muffins! :)

Nearly every day.

I never liked red meat much and never have beef now because it grosses me out (esp. in this country!!). I still eat chicken, turkey burgers, love shrimp and some fish, and will eat bacon or porkloin if it is served.
